The Prairie State - The Land of Lincoln... The largest cess pool of corrupt politicians and their parasites (lobbyists) in the United States. As you may know, I moved here for the love of my wife a little over 12 years ago... Love only goes so far.

If the linked article sees a bit lengthy, I'll give a quick overview; Two Illinois Teachers' Union lobbyists took advantage of inside info on a bill that was moving through the State Houses. This bill contained a provision for Union employees to put their years of service as non-teachers toward collecting FULL teachers' pensions. All they had to do was get their teaching certificates and substitute for ONE DAY. One of them will be eligible to collect over $100,000 a year for the rest of his life - from a pension fund that is BILLIONS underfunded. If you didn't read the article - in the Chicago Tribune of all places - it says most teachers' pensions are less than half that... REAL teachers I mean. It also kind of floors me that the Trib would rat-out fellow Libs... GOOD ON YA', TRIB!!!

The other thing in the article that really steams my rice, is the amount of money the Union is handing out to their Dem friends in campaign donations... Umm... Maybe pay the pensions you're responsible for, then worry about back-scratching? No? That's kinda what I figured. Why do Dems in this state even need campaign funds? All you need is a 15 second spot on WGN where you say: "More LINK cards... I'm _______, and I approved this ad..." GUARANTEED WIN!!! So what you're really doing is lining more pockets, greasing more machinery, throwing money away that you could be using to at least slow the bleeding.

Poor teachers. Probably the most important non police-fire-soldier job there is, low starting pay, deal with parents, deal with bad kids ruining it for good kids, oh don't forget the educating our future leaders part... But you get your summers off - sort of. Unfortunately for the teachers, they hitched themselves to the wrong wagon, and now owe their souls to their Union masters. Masters, by the way, who are now double dipping into your already dried-up well.

So, if you're lookin' for me in the winter of 2013-14, I'll be on a golf course somewhere in Arizona with my wife and our matching Springfield XDm's - although open carrying may alter my swing a bit - wondering why I put up with two more of those stupid upper Midwest winters... Well, I did promise my current Jr Tackle team I'd take them through their 8th grade season before I retire, and our daughter doesn't graduate until 2013... If Illinois can still support what little educational system it has left by then.

BTW... Our Beloved Chairma... I mean, current President is an Illinois politician... Can you say 'Microcosm' boys and girls?

Peace, Love, and "The Wheels on the Bus Go 'Round and 'Round"

St00bert

Is THIS in Your Jobs Bill Barry?

So, you make GE Chairman Jeff Immelt your "Jobs Czar"... Sounds prudent, leader of a really big corporation, business savvy, a real go-getter, right?

So why is it your Jobs Guru is moving GE Medical's HQ out of my hometown (Waukesha, WI) to send it to Beijing, China? Is his title supposed to be "Jobs for China Czar"?

And while we're on GE, how much corporate tax did GE pay last year? NONE. This is because GE hires accountants who were previously IRS agents and bean counters - They know every loophole, every back door.

So, Barry... Your HAND-PICKED cabinet member is a rich guy who paid no taxes last year AND is shipping American jobs over to China? Sounds very much like many of the people you claim to be against... Sounds like you're taking care of the top 1% just as well as "W" ever did, huh?

Now, I read all the stories about how this isn't going to affect jobs here "Just moving a handful of executives..." wasn't it? Ask the people at Fellowes how that worked out for them http://www.fellowes.com/fellowes/site/aboutus/about_releases_48.aspx

That was just part of the raping the Chinese put on Fellowes, all the plans, tooling, and facilities were basically stolen from Fellowes by the Chinese. So think again on that whole "Not going to affect jobs here" thing. Barry is selling us out to China as much as - if not more than - "W" or BJ ever did.

Whether you want to face it or not, everything our government is doing right now is pretty much the opposite of creating jobs. You see, if we actually did the things that create jobs, less of us would need the government to supply our livelihoods. The less we need the government, the less power the government has over us... This does not work when you are trying to build a socialist state, which you are, Barry; I don't buy what your friends in the media are trying to sell me.

This may be semi-old news, but when you put it together with Barry's 450 Billion dollar "jobs" bill, the unbelievable failure we call "Stimulus", AND the fact that - even with two years of super-majority - Barry, Nancy and Harry didn't get the Bush tax cuts dropped, you kind of start to see a plan coming together, don't ya?

We are being duped, all day - every day. The only real answer is true transparency. Flat taxes, no loopholes or back doors. I'm not too hip on the 9-9-9 plan Cain is pushing, but Steve Forbes' 15% income and 15% corporate tax plan did make alot of sense. The problem is, the IRS and its HUGE ball of red tape is a nice hiding place for our Reps' misappropriation of our money; so people like Forbes and Cain are portrayed as Loons, and the media goes along with it because they have been promised that they will get to keep their high standing once the Socialist State is in full swing.

I know, I sound like one of those conspiracy kooks... But ask yourself: Why wouldn't we have a flat tax? Why do we continue printing worthless money? Why do we keep passing legislation that we CAN'T pay for? How could it possibly be bad to not need 1000 page tax codes, and the thousands of salaries that our tax dollars pay that we could cut loose with a flat tax? Why would a President, who claims to be all about us little guys, be pushing people and programs down our throats that will only make us even littler guys?

Waukesha beware; the President who railed against "W"s "Shipping Jobs Overseas" policies, is putting his hypocrisy on display and you can bet it won't stop with "A handful of executives".

Peace, Love and Playing Both Sides,

Stubert

How many is enough, Barry?

Tonight my two faithful readers, I am not talking to Chairman Oba-Mao. I am not talking to Mr. Hopey Changey. I am talking to the Commander-In-Chief of the United States military - in particular, the Commander-In-Chief of United States Naval Forces - in particular, the naval forces off the coast of Somalia.

How many dead Americans is enough for you to show Billy BJ Clinton how things should have been done in Somalia in the first place? Or are you just like BJ? Are you gonna hide behind Billy's old "Its a legal matter, not a Military matter" excuse? The pirates launched an RPG at an American warship... Not an act of war? You gonna let the pirates kill a few thousand like Osama did when Billy wouldn't man-up and take it, when two countries offered OBL's head on a platter three times? Then hide behind false disgust when a reporter dares to question you about it, just like Billy BJ? Just to let you know, when they are doing your video deposition, IS doesn't have a definition... It just says "see; be".

Lately, and with much vomit on my end, you have been attempting to invoke the spirit of Ronald Regan. Having served for this true Commander-In-Chief in the Navy, I can tell you that this situation would have been made a memory right after the Maersk Alabama incedent... And I mean RIGHT after. Like it or not, Ron had a knack for immediate and slightly beyond proportional responses. Mr Qadaffi can attest to that... Funny how that old POS hass popped back on to the scene, huh?

Listen, you know where the pirates port, you know their backers, and you know where their supply lines are. You have the most accurate, swift and powerful Navy in the history of the world at your disposal, and you have a bunch of uneducated thugs in Boston Whalers taking over oil tankers. Really Barry, really? Whatever cowardly, legalese, pseudo-intellectual crap you are telling yourself to sleep at night isn't going to bring back the four Americans killed by these punks today. Neither will taking strong and appropriate action. But by taking strong and appropriate action, you may prevent the next four - or four hundred - deaths.

Whether you like it or not, wiping these insects off the face of the Earth is the only way you will stop them. Just like the Drug Cartels and Al Qaeda/Muslim Brotherhood/Hezbollah/Hamas. It is a harsh truth to face, knowing that giving evil people what they want, just makes them want more. KNOWING that you could end this crap, but being afraid to offend your voter-base and your Euro-trash friends.

Catch and Release time is over, Barry. Time to go fishing with dynamite and filet some Pirates.

Peace, Love, and AARRRGH Ya Scurvy Sea-Dogs

St00bert

"I Want Ludicrous Speed - NOW"

The title of tonight's blog is, of course, brought to you by Dark Helmet (Rick Moranis) in the Mel Brooks classic; Space Balls.

You want to know what is really ludicrous? I can't even get on the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel Packer Page without an all-out brawl breaking out over the budget-battle. Every blog post and article that allows for comments breaks-down into "Union vs. Union-Buster" BS. The funny thing is, not one of those morons has any idea what they're talking about.

Even Charles Woodson is putting his $.02 worth in... He stands by "Working Families". Really C-Dub? Mine too, or just union families? Here's the thing Chuck; STFU, your union makes even the UAW look like a bunch of Guatemalan sweatshop workers. I love you as a DB, but keep your face SHUT when it comes to real "Working Families". Come live off of a few of my paychecks for a year, then live like a unionized state employee from Wisconsin or Illinois, then go back to playing a game for millions. I can guarantee you whose shoes you WON'T wanna stay in for long.

I just wanted to see if Jenkins got a deal, or if Daryn College got the boot yet, but no, I get yahoos who think they're Hannity & Colmes. I get it, it is a big thing. But someone has to realize that the people who made it this big are the people who stand to gain the most from it being this big; Union heads. BTW, all you "poor" teachers & state workers - what your masters are worried about is you having to choose to be in the union and write your own checks for union dues, instead of having them automatically withdrawn. They could care less about you or your collective bargaining "rights".

It sucks that a bunch of self-important, over-compensated whiners have sucked the life out of what should be (NFL/NFLPA negotiations not-withstanding) the best Packers off-season in 14 years.

Those of you who are proclaiming Gov. Walker as the greatest thing ever - Get a clue, how was his track record in County politics? All you Obamaniacs who think Walker is the next Adolf Hitler; would you like a side order of psycho with your melodrama? And any of you who do it on the Packers Blog at JSOnline -

GET YOUR DICK OUTA MY CORN FLAKES, FUCKER!!!!

Awwww... I'm Sooorrrry

So you say someone wants to pluck a few feathers from your Golden Goose, huh? I'm Sorry.

Back home in Wisconsin, the new Governor wants to pass a budget that would increase the amount unionized state workers have to contribute to their health plans and retirements. It would also limit the scope of collective bargaining for those employees and teachers. NOT eliminate, as Katie and Brian would have you believe, limit.

Yet, somehow, union reps from various unions - NOT AFFECTED by this plan - have these state workers convinced that they will be teaching and working in sweatshops and unstable coal mines for 27 cents an hour, if this budget passes. My big brother pointed out, much more calmly than I could, that this is about more than ANYONE thinks it is. Union heads everywhere are throwing hyperbole around like T-Shirts at a minor league hockey game. Their hyperbolic statements are fallacy to cover more fallacy.

I'll let big Bro' explain all that. As you know, I come from the other side of the coin. I wanna talk about the lies, the over-dramatism, the crap that is a little more personal. I wanna take your BS arguements, and tear them to shreds, and rub your nose in 'em.

1. There is no such thing as a RIGHT to collective bargaining. That is something your union masters and college professors have fed you like sheep, and you took it all. Collective bargaining is a concept, agreed upon by two entities, it is put in the form of a contract, and usually is abided by on both sides... Except for all you teachers who are protesting in The Peoples' Republic of Madison. You are currently in breach of contract. There are laws that govern the collective bargaining process - once an agreement is reached - but NOTHING that says its your RIGHT. If there were, we'd ALL have to be unionized just like France... Ask them how thats workin' out.

2. Is it possible that Gov. Walker just wants to save the state some money? Not according to the unions. Oh no, he's union busting... Has to be. Haven't we been hearing that shit since at least Nixon? The last time anything close to union-busting happened, it became more affordable for EVERYONE to fly... Wierd, how could that possibly be..? You assume, because Walker has (R) next to his name, that he is union-busting. Because that's what your masters told you to assume. Will this measure save the State of Wisconsin money? Yes. Guess what? That makes it a BUDGET issue... At least on one end. On the other, it is a matter of control.

3. So you only make 50K a year, to work 3/4 of the year; and have the best three months of the year off; and would still have a guaranteed retirement 94.2% funded by taxpayers; and still have health insurance 87.4% paid for by taxpayers if this budget passes? AWWWWW... I'm sooorrry. Let's see. I make less than 38K a year, to work the WHOLE year, I have to pay for 50% of my health insurance, and if I could afford to put money in a 401k, I would still have to fund 97% of my NON-GUARANTEED retirement... If my boss can still afford to match 3%. Unfortunately, too much of my money goes to pay spoiled brats like you your Cadillac benefits packages... Hey does Obama tax you on those..? Didn't think so. BTW, I fix aircraft parts for a living, so if I'm wrong, people die. If you're wrong, our educational system suc... Oh, sorry.

4. Boy, when you dupes voted for Mr. Hopey Changey, and he said "We all have to make sacrifices..." I'll bet you thought he only meant rich people and conservatives, didn't ya? I'll bet it was OK when it didn't mean you had to sacrifice, huh? I'm sorry, the funding for your Utopia has dried up. The funny thing is, you freaks act like its the end of the world to have to not even come close to being in the private sectors' shoes. We don't get to bargain shit; I haven't had a raise for two years, and it'll probably be three; our insurance keeps getting more costly for less coverage; and I will probably have to work 'til I fucking DIE. Collectively bargain that.

It almost makes me glad I moved to the Flatlands, but we have more and bigger problems here than I can mention in one blog.

Illinois = $8 billion in the hole
Wisconsin = $135 million...

Peace, Love, and Get over yourselves you greedy, whining little Bitches

St00bert

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://commonfreakingsense.blogspot.com/2011/02/awwww-im-sooorrrry.html' title='Awwww... Lest you think this is an isolated "She's a cute Western reporter" incident, it was actually one of over 140 attacks on reporters covering the protests in Cairo. 140 in 18 days... Now, when you figure in the fact that the first days of the protest were extremely peaceful, I'd say we're looking at 10 assaults PER DAY over the last two weeks of the demonstrations. Including what CBS News calls a "brutal" attack on Logan.

As much as I dislike the mainstream media, I like Lara Logan. Not just because she's attractive, because she goes where many of her male colleagues fear to tread, and gets WHOLE stories, not just the parts Katie wants you to see. We've seen her in Iraq and Afghanistan telling the stories of everyone from Marine Expeditionary Units to Tribal Elders to Afghan women getting their first chance at an education. And yet, after trudging down IED packed roads with soldiers, and climbing to mountain-top villages in war-torn countries, her most dangerous assignment comes at a supposedly peaceful protest, in a country that hasn't been at war since the '70s.

Cooper Anderson from CNN was also attacked, but not to the same degree. Even Middle-Eastern reporters weren't safe, one team was told, "We're going to behead you" by their temporary captors. The reporter's knowledge of local dialects and traditions, and his kindness toward an elderly man on the street were the only things that saved him and his team from the blade.

Here are three things I hope:

1. The Muslim Brotherhood does not take the lead in Egypt when the dust settles.

2. We can stop calling protests where 140 attacks on foreign reporters occur, and 300 people die, "Peaceful"

3. Ms Logan has a speedy recovery and return to the field.

Peace, Love, and "Reporting live, from_______"

St00bert

Budgets Don't Budge the Deficit

So the Chairman has sent his "Magical Mystery Budget" to Congress. 3.7 TRILLION dollars, which, by the way, adds to the deficit; to the tune of a record 1.65 Trillion in overspending for the rest of FY 2011. Of course, it's made all better by only spending 1.1 Trillion more than we take in for 2012. Whew... And here I thought we were going the wrong way... Wait... I'm a little confused. The title of this post is a link to a FOX News story, where you can find more detail on the budget.

Let me get this straight; for the rest of FY 2011, and all of 2012, 2.75 out of 3.7 TRILLION dollars we spend will be money we don't have? Really Chairman? Really? Any of you Libs still wanna talk about Regan writing bad checks? 74.324 (repeating of course) percent of the Chairman's budget is ghost money.

And where shall we get this money that doesn't exist? We'll borrow it from CHINA. Oh, but that's OK, 'cause China needs us greedy Americans, right? They make it, we buy it, right? Here's something Katie and the rest of the media Obamaniacs don't like to talk about; for about the last ten to fifteen years, China has very subtly, but most assuredly, been weening their populous into consumerism. So what the Chinese make, the Chinese can buy... Almost 2 billion Chinese... They don't need a measly 300 million round eyes to buy their stuff. Not to mention all the Chinese students who have gotten mostly free educations here in the USA, heading back to China to use those educations. Good call, former President Carter... NOT.

The Chairman appointed a committee to help him right the budget ship. They sent him a package with 4 Trillion dollars in REAL deficit trimming cuts. How many of those recommendations made it into this monetary sleight-of-hand? NONE. Now, I can't find any figures, but I'm gonna bet that we didn't hire this Blue-Ribbon, BI-PARTISAN gaggle of economic think-tankers for a handful of magic beans. This cost us phat Benjamins, and what is our return on investment? BUPKIS, NADA, NOTHING, ZILCH. It's OK, we'll just borrow that money from China, too.

So, we wanna build a high-speed rail system no one will use, pour more money into our bottomless educational system (again, thanks Jimmy C.), and keep up the "Going Green" B.S. All these programs and many more will be paid for by raising taxes on the rich; cutting tax breaks for oil, gas, and coal producers; and of course the very Clinton-esque Defense Spending Hack-a-Thon. Oh, and if we're "Going Green", why are we cutting the budget for the Great Lakes restoration funds? Not very enviro-friendly of the Chairman, huh?

This country is too geograhically large to support a "Bullet Train" system, period. If you really wanna save money, ELIMINATE the U.S. Dept of Education. It has done nothing but lower the standards of our kids' educations, and turn the NEA into another UAW. If green energy was so feasible and popular, wouldn't it really have taken hold by now? Nice as a supplement, but until the lies about nuke power stop, we will never have truly sustainable clean energy (or a viable means of deep-space travel for that matter).

Instead, TAX THE RICH!!! YEAH!!! TAX THOSE GREEDY BASTARDS!!! Ummm... Those greedy bastards SIGN YOUR CHECKS, MORON! If greedy bastards have less money to pay you with, they aren't going to take a paycut to keep you around... Get it? TAX THE SHIT OUT OF THE OIL/GAS/COAL COMPANIES!!! YEAH, TAX THOSE OIL-SPILLIN' BASTARDS TO HELL!!! OK, but when they leave, and take all those jobs with 'em, don't come cryin' to me. CUT DEFENSE SPENDING!!! YEAH, SCREW THOSE WAR-MONGERS!!! Except, at least two of the projects our fearless (gag) leader wants to cut, are two of the few projects in military history to come in better than on-time AND under budget... makes a lot of sense... I guess..(?) Maybe not.

Oh, don't mention this, 'cause it's kind of a secret, but, no entitlement programs are mentioned as places to make cuts. We just wanna keep paying out welfare to people who produce nothing, keep paying BILLIONS in fraudulent Medicaid/ Medicare charges, and totally ignore the one group of rich folks we should go after - Millionaire Social Security receipients. Listen Gramps, if you've got millions from whatever you did before you retired, you don't need the hundreds you get per month from Social Security, you greedy F*&K... Other people do, and will in the future.

So, in a nutshell; we're gonna increase spending more than we are going to cut spending, we're gonna cut things that work and continue to implement things that don't, and somehow that's gonna balance the budget, and we'll be "paying the bills" by the middle of the decade.

Forgive me a bit of skepticism, won't you?

Peace, Love, and BEND OVER!!!

St00bert

Almost forgot I had this thing...

Man, with all this stuff going on, I pretty much abandoned the ol' Blog again. But, they say 95% of all blogs end up completely abandoned within a few months, so I'm not doin' SO bad... Right?

Yeah so, my eldest son is in the Army now, gettin married at the end of the year (Oh good, more spending...), and constantly reminding me that its about 65 degrees and sunny damn near every day in Monterey, CA. While we wade through ass-deep snow and -12 for a low tonight. Fucker.

Congress, especially the House, turned over big time last fall. As much as I would love to see Comrade Pelosi, Harry "Vladimir" Reid, and Chairman Oba-Mao go away in 2012, it becomes more clear every day that politicos are all after the same end - more power and our money - just by different means. Take our new friends in the Tea-Party; they don't think Chairman Oba-Mao is tough enough on terrorism, but they don't want to wire-tap people who are likely to BE terrorists..? Isn't this like saying you believe in our right to keep and bear arms, but want to outlaw gun sales? Once the Patriot Act provisions are allowed to expire, bad shit won't be far behind. Not being a doomsayer or anything, just common-freaking-sense; if we can't perform surveillance on the bad guys - and the Lame-stream media is making sure the bad guys know we can't - they get a blank check and a nice clean slate for planning the next big 9/11 style attack.

Well, at least all this Government spending is making the economy better... Oh wait, we just laid off six people where I work, foreclosures are going ape shit, and overall unemployment is still attached to that helium balloon. Not to mention predictions of $5 per gallon gas by the summer... How's that gonna go in your economic outlook?

If any of my loyal readers (OK, I know its just you Alayna, but let me dream) know of any people, businesses, or production companies in need of a voice-over guy, I'm trying to break into the biz. I keep hearing that I should use my many voices, including the ones inside my head, to make some dough, scratch, mula, cash. Send them to the ol' Blog, and have 'em post a comment, or click the "Follow Blog" button. Need to be able to give my Boy and the Bride something a little better than McDonald's for the rehearsal dinner.

Now that the Green Bay Packers are Champions, and Vince is back home where he belongs, I am gonna try to do more news watching and blogging. recess appointments. Recess appointments are a cowardly way to get appointees to certain positions in government through, without congressional approval. George W and Willy did it mostly with low importance positions, though. Chairman Oba-Mao has done it in a much more blatant (big surprise), and underhanded way, ignoring at least two huge elephants in the room.

First and foremost; doesn't appointing TWO UNION LAWYERS to the National Labor Relations Board sound alot like conflict of interest? Nothing like making absolutely sure unions get the upper hand in every aspect of negotiation, election, and organization. The problem here is that unions no longer serve a valid purpose. The one and only goal of forming and maintaining a union nowdays, is to get more for less; more money and benefits, for less work. Unfortunately, stupid union people don't get that if the companies they work for keep giving and giving and giving, there will soon be no company to work for... GET IT MORONS? Maybe if we still had child labor problems and sweat shops & slave labor were still running amok, we could use the unions; but they have become nothing more than greed machines.

Second, the Chairman made many promises about doing things differently. Change You Can Believe In, wasn't it? Yet, back-alley deals, old British Parliamentary tricks, and "Congress is away so I can play" are the only ways all of this socialism can get forced down our throats. Doesn't sound like ANYTHING I believe in. Mr. Oba-Mao can pretend that the Republicans are blocking his nominees out of spite, or grandstanding, or whatever; but the fact is that none of his nominees so far has been palatable to the American public... Sorta like his health care plan. So maybe these nominees are being blocked because they are bad choices... Sorta like his health care plan. Less partisan politics? Nope, he and Comrade Pelosi - even with a super majority - had to resort to thumbing their noses at the Repubs and some of their own to get Commie-Care through. The article I linked to above is about the fourth I've seen recently that has mentioned the Chairman "Scolding the GOP". Doesn't sound very nonpartisan, does it?

There are three houses of our government for a reason; so that no one of those can become too powerful. Yet somehow, the Chairman has UNILATERALLY passed health care reform we didn't want, put in place appointees we didn't want, passed a meaningless jobs bill (bet ya missed that one), and bailed out a bunch of companies we didn't want to bail out. Oh, don't let me forget taking over GM & Chrysler, and GIVING them to the union (UAW)... Illegally, by the way - as was the passage of the health care bill (10th Amendment, anyone?)

It's so funny that Oba-Mao got elected partly because many morons believed the "George W is trampling all over your rights" line that was sold by the Dems and media. Now, you are losing them at an alarming rate. Individuality is being systematically extinguished. The free market, and therefore innovation and entreprenurialism, are being wiped out with each stroke of the Chairman's 42 pens; of course, regardless of the Constitution, whether there are enough votes for it, or if anyone even wants it.

Look back through history people.Lenin, Castro, Tito, and the Ayatollahs all came to power promising "Power to the People", and "Take from the rich, to give to the poor". They all started out taking small bites out of their peoples' freedoms; "We have to take this from you for the good of all..." Sound familiar? They all ended up as Police-States, where only the elite and "Good Party Members" had anything resembling a decent life. Oh, and other than the Ayatollahs (who have oil), they have all ended up FLAT BROKE.

Look where Socialism has taken other countries, if you want to see where we are headed... It ain't pretty.

Peace, Love, and The Siberian Express

St00bert

OH, GOODY...

Well, I hope all you liberal - "Change You Can Believe In" - fruitcakes are happy.

Oh goody - ANOTHER TRILLION DOLLARS to programs I pay for, and don't get to use, because I WORK for a living. That, of course, is on top of the 4 Trillion in bank and GM/Chrysler bailouts... The latter of which by the way, were both illegal.

Oh goody - Another beat-down of the Constitution by the "Commie-Care at any cost" Dems. Ummm... The STATES - BY CONSTITUTIONAL LAW - are the governing bodies that are supposed to administer any government run/funded health care programs; look it up. The Dems' "Interstate Commerce" umbrella is plain and simple horse-crap. Do you go to a doctor or hospital out-of-state? MAYYYYYBE if you are on vacation or a business trip, otherwise you do just like me, and go to the Doc right down the street. This is why many State DA's are considering suing the Federal Government to stop Commie-Care from taking hold in their states.

Oh goody - more bullsh!# about how this will lower my premiums. Ummm... Look at auto insurance rates after states started mandating that type of coverage (which BTW, is legal, get it?). Also, when my boss has to start paying WAY higher taxes, and insurance rates; do you think he will just eat those costs? Uhhh... Hell No?

Oh goody - Even more bullsh!# about how my taxes won't go up. Ummm... Rich folks are rich for a reason... They know all the loopholes, and tricks of the trade to NOT pay higher taxes. So when that money never starts rolling in, who is gonna end up paying? Oh yeah... Me again.

Oh goody - our "Representatives" have turned into our masters. Yes, lets use long-thought-dead parliamentary tricks from the days of British Rule to pass wildly unpopular legislation. Why? Because they do not wish to represent, they wish to rule. And must our rulers live by the same code? Nope. They opted THEMSELVES out of this plan... Hmmm, why would they do that? Oh yeah, because they're perfectly happy to let US pay for THEIR Cadillac health plan, but if your boss offers you one, they're gonna tax the Hell out of it. Some underhandedness to go with your hypocrisy, Madam Speaker?

I hope all you Obamaniacal fruitcakes are reading carefully; YOU WILL REGRET NOVEMBER 4, 2008. When you are paying 40% or higher income tax (thats just the Feds), and waiting so long to see a mediocre physician, that whatever you had or did, is gone or permanently screwed, and fumbling all over looking for your National ID card, or... I could go on, but I'll leave you with this:

Instead of believing everything Katie Couric and Brian Williams tell you, do some research. Look back in History; find the periods of greatest governmental involvement in our lives. Find the periods with the largest government programs and tax increases. I could tell you that you will find them to be the most socio-economically challenging periods in our history, but that would just be me saying it. Look for yourself, if you think you can handle what truly is, instead of what "Mr. Hope" sold you a couple years ago.

Peace, Love, and Cold Hard Facts

St00bert

Where the Hell are my pants..?

No deep political views here... I love women. I know, shocking. But I do not mean I love women as in "I still have the 1970s Farrah poster..." - I respond better to women at work, at home, out on the town, where and whenever. Most of my friends are women, mostly because most of my friends are my wife's friends... I am a Badger, transplanted to the Flatlands you know.

Don't get me wrong, if a woman is a bitch, I do not like her. If she's a cheatin' Ho-Bag who treats a good man like dirt, I could probably watch as she got run down by a bus... But I digress.

So it pains me greatly to see a good woman, especially a friend, hurting because she can't find a man who can - or will - put as much into a relationship (or an attempt at a relationship) as she does.

I have such a friend. She is beautiful, smart, funny, adventurous, and when she loves someone, she does so without limitation. She will put everything out there, on her sleeve, even though it exposes her to being hurt. The unforunate thing is, her men have been happy to let her do all the emotional work, without acceptable return on investment.

I don't get it guys... What are you afraid of? It has to be fear. In her current Beau's case, I have to surmise that he is a "Bro"... Not the '70s slang for an African American male friend, but the popped collar, Birkenstocks and khaki cargo shorts, upside-down and backwards visor, Natty Ice-Drinkin' Bro. She says no, but I think he (being in his 30s now) has gone Bro-in-Cognito. Still too concerned about hangin' with his group of Bros, he fears putting out too much emotional investment will make him look weak to the guys. Also, my friend is in her early 40s, so I am pretty sure he fears missing out on a younger, seemingly hotter chick. Listen Chief, if you haven't sowed all those wild oats by 30 or so, you have deeper issues than I care to get into.

Other guys may be afraid they can't keep up that kind of emotional end-of-the-bargain. Then you're just lazy, all she needs is 100%. You don't have to manufacture any, just give what you got. You don't have to act, jump through hoops, or hold back... What's so tough?

The old "fear of commitment" thing is just a guy's way of saying: "It's all about me, and my quest for Halle Berry". Well, Halle's busy, and self-important people get what's coming to them; just ask Bernie Madhoff, or Charlie Sheen.

I know, you're afraid of rejection. You go ahead and put out your fair share of emotional investment, and it doesn't work out... WELL, BOO-FRICKETY-HOO. Sometimes that happens... As a matter of fact, it probably WILL happen. So saving it up is doing you no good; you're gonna get hurt, tough guy... Deal with it.

Some - even other women - will say my friend should hold back, not leave herself open like that.

WHY SHOULD SHE? Why should anyone have to supress the single greatest thing we have to offer one another? Maybe all you closed-off, hearts-in-shackles cynics should let go once in a while. Let yourself feel that Puppy-Love rush; whatsamatter, are you too "grown-up" to feel like that anymore?

Maybe some of you are latent homosexuals... My friend is not hard on the eyes, and she likes the physical part of love, too... But you'd rather stay home - alone - WATCHING SNL? You sir, are either ultimately stupid, or you have a vast array of Judy Garland collectibles and dust ruffles. Which is it..? Well, we're waiting...

Here is my advice to all my brothers and sisters - Don't look for a woman/man who you think will make you happy; look for the woman/man who you want to make happy, because it makes you happy to see her/him happy... Get it? It's a good kind of vicious cycle.

And guys, if you meet my friend, and the sparks start to fly - prepare to be blown away, and don't be afraid to return the favor.

Peace, Love, and... Well... Love

St00bert

Pop-Quiz, Hot-Shot...

OK, it's a new year, so we're going to make a new commitment to Common Freaking Sense...

First things first; a little quiz for our ever-ready TSA agents, officers, and officials:

Look at the following photos...

Which airline passenger raises the most suspicion, and should therefore be pulled aside for a thorough strip/body cavity search?

It's OK... He's been spending alot of time with some people who say they are aligned with Al-Qaeda. They are apparently training him for what he calls his 'call to glory'... I really think he is a danger to others..." Let's just say this caller is a prominent man from, oh I dunno, Nigeria.

Meanwhile, other intelligence agencies are telling you about some kid from, oh I dunno, Nigeria. We'll call him "The Nigerian". This kids been seen training with some real baddies who align themselves with Al-Qaeda. This kid is all about "the cause", even has his prominent Nigerian father a little spooked...

OK Janet, I'll give you five minutes to connect as many of the dots as you can... GO!

{five minutes later}

Alright Jan, one more scenario... I am also a defensive coordinator, albeit for Middle School football.

There are two things about defense that I know to always be true:

1. You CANNOT play prevent defense with more than a minute on the clock, if you are only up by one score... You will only prevent yourself from winning... I'll bet paychecks on this, and come out ahead every NFL season.

2. You WILL NOT create turnovers playing prevent defense in this scenario. Maybe with less time on the clock, as the offense will be in a more panic-mode state of mind; but without pressure on the QB, even then it is rare.

The problem is this - Three D-Linemen rushing against five O-linemen = no pressure, all day for QB to throw, and receivers to get open. Also, you have linebackers and D-backs dropped into a very deep 4 x 4 zone - LB's & Strong Safety in "shallow" quarters, which are actually deeper than normal; and Corners and Free Safety covering the deep - and I mean DEEP quarters. This is to protect against one big play scoring on you.

The offense only needs one score, and they have time to get there, these loose zones leave HUGE gaps for the offense to move through, just like the Steelers did tonight. This plan by Dom Capers actually helped the Steelers win. By not allowing the winning score until NO TIME was on the clock, he deprived the offense of a chance to mount a drive of their own, to retake the lead and win.

If the Packers had been up by two scores, it would have been a "garbage" TD, which is the ONLY thing the prevent defense is good for - let them score meaningless points, but take all the time off the clock doing so. This was how and why the Packers beat the Cowboys five weeks ago, up 17-0 (three scores), the Packers gave Dallas all the short junk they wanted, and the Cowgirls got A score - with almost no time left - Pack wins 17-7. THREE SCORES Dom, NOT ONE!!!

If anything, this scenario calls for a DC to call his best pressure packages - THEY HAD ALREADY SACKED BIG BEN 5 TIMES FOR GOD'S SAKE!!! - to make the opposing offense extend each play, and run more time off the clock. Linebacker blitzes only, though - you need your best cover guys covering (Jarrett Bush not withstanding). Pressure leads to bad throws, bad throws lead to picks.

Listen to me now, Dom: YOU CAN RUSH FIVE EVERY DOWN AND STILL COVER IN THE QUARTERS UNDER HALVES UMBRELLA THAT IS "COVER-TWO". And if you're smart about it, those blitzes can also plug up every run-gap assignment. Angles are your friend, Dom.

Oh well, I'm just a Junior Tackle coach with an axe to grind - what do I know? Mason Crosby and Jarrett Bush better start checking the want-ads in the Sunday paper - that I know. But a faulty defensive plan is not on them, is it Dom?

Peace, Love, and the 3-5-3 stack,

St00bert

What the..?

Yeah, so I'm watching Katie Couric tonight... God knows why... CBS Evening News does a story about Gitmo detainees coming to a prison in Thomson, Illinois; about an hour or so west of my little burgh. CBS's story says the people of Thomson are "overwhelmingly" in favor of this move, as it will bring 3,000+ jobs and over a billion dollars to the area.

LIES

Less than a third of those jobs will be local hires, and the guards who already work at the Thomson prison - LOCAL PEOPLE - are not even close to sure of keeping their jobs; they are State employees, and would have to reapply to become federal guards... Jobs which usually require knowing and/or blowing someone high up on the ladder.

The money will most assuredly go to Chicago contractors, especially if President Barry Osama... Oops... Obama - has anything to say about it. It is my humble opinion, and educated guess, that the Daley Mob is already licking their collective chops over this - imagine the unheard of kickbacks from this gig!!!

Sad, really. I was actually going to praise the Prez for his outstanding acceptance/concession speech for the Nobel Peace Prize. I was especially delighted and surprised, that he let those smug European pukes know that they owe the United States... well... pretty much everything. Unfortunately, like the high Liberalville USA got from his election, my delight was short lived, and came down hard.

Now, I get to worry about terrorist attacks happening less than two hours away from my family - to the West OR the East! Thanks Barry, as if trials at Ground Zero weren't enough of an invitation; "Here Al Qaeda, attack Chicago - Hell, wipe out all of Northern Illinois, who cares?!?! Yeah, a dirty nuke in Rural America should really help our... I mean YOUR cause..."

Yup, government getting bigger, Barry's new friends in Radical Islam getting new reasons to conduct operations on U.S. soil... Soon Barry will have his U.S.S.A. - Union of Socialist States of Amerika. Since H1N1 has turned out to be nothing more than "the flu", Barry will need a new reason to declare a national state of emergency, and eventually (probably around November 2012) Martial Law.

Barry's handlers say that closing Gitmo, and housing terror suspects in the U.S. - proper, will somehow appease Radical Islam. I strongly disagree; Radical Islam will not be appeased until all their men are free to rejoin their respective cells, so they can work on killing Americans and Israelis again. Actually, they won't really be appeased until everyone who isn't Muslim, either converts or dies... It's kinda' their thing, Barry. You see, Barry mistakenly thinks that Radical Islam is the same as True Islam... not so much, Barry. The Quran (True Islam) teaches tolerance between Islam, Christianity, and Judaism, it even acknowledges Jesus as a great Prophet, just not the Son of God. Radical Islam says "Christians and Jews DIE!!!"... See the difference?

So I ask you: What good reason can anyone give to bring the suspected terrorists here, for trial or holding? Jobs? Government jobs produce nothing, and cost taxpayers more money. As previously stated, most of these jobs would help local employment rates very little. Money? From what? Prisoners don't exactly spend much, and any new development will cost money before it makes any, and who is to say how many, if any, of these jobs will be permanent or even long-term? They have to put those prisoners on trial someday, then they either go free or get the chair. Besides, I am reminded of all the jobs "created" by the stimulus package... 10.2% unemployment.

Let me know if I am missing something, because all I see is a big target being painted on Northern Illinois.

Peace, Love, and Hardin, Montana -

St00bert

What now, Mr. Gore?

All over this crazy internet community, I see story after story about how some of the world's top environmental scientists may have - shall we say - modified some of their inputs, to show a greater amount of human influence on the Earth's climate than is actually there.

Of course, the legitimacy of the emails and documents in question is being refuted by the people most damaged by this outing. And yet, the man whose tinkering was exposed - Phil Jones - stepped down from his lead post at the Climate Research Unit (CRU) at the University of East Anglia, in England. If its not real, why step down Phil?

My wife and I watch Robin Meade (short pause for drooling) every morning on CNN's little sister, HLN. The ONLY mention of this story was about ten words scrolling across the bottom of the screen. I only caught it because at the time, Robin was not on screen. If global warming does exist, its because Robin goes outside at least twice a day.

Many people blindly walk through their own conspiracy theories about these eco-quacks; but few have given good reason for this hoax to perpetuate. Some say grant money, some say bureaucrats after big fees, fines and expensive "studies". These are OK theories, I guess, but not big and bold enough for the scope of this scenario.

Who suffers if "they" convince us that global warming is the danger we are told it is? Who has to change everything they do and how they do it? Who gets the bulk of the blame? Manufacturing in general, and specifically, the automotive industry. A very large portion of the jobs in this country are tied to the automotive industry, one way or the other. If you can effectively blame one segment for the decline of our environment, you can also - in theory - shut that segment down. That's a lot of people out of work... dependent on the government... Sound familiar?

Removing large chunks of people from the ranks of the gainfully employed, puts that much more power in the hands of the governing bodies of those people. Making it very difficult and expensive to operate a manufacturing firm is a good way to shut it down, no? I could go into how the healthcare reform act is also partly aimed this way, but that's another conversation.

Look at a satellite photo of the county you live in, even the city you live in, zoomed just to show that area. If you were standing in the most wide open place, wearing a bright red clown suit, would you be visible in that satellite photo? We don't get, for the most part, how small we are. How insignificant we are, and how easily Mother Earth could flick us away like flies.

Why is there no ozone hole above Los Angeles? Has every bad emission EVER floated down to Tierra Del Fuego, where THE ozone hole is? The fact is, the Tierra phenomenon is probably caused partly by the ozone hole; which means it has been there since at least the 1500's... Sorry Al. Another funny thing about that ozone hole; it is situated such that, it may have been punched through by the asteroid that killed the dinosaurs... Bet you never thought of that, did ya' Al? Another theory about the ozone hole, is that we need it as kind of a safety valve, but I don't buy that one.

Bottom line, the big finale to global warming is another ice age. So what caused the last one... Wooly Mammoth farts? Everything is cyclical, peeps. Back in the 1950's, scientists were concerned about global cooling... Look it up, really. Mother has been around for a few billion years now, I'm fairly certain she may jave a few routines we haven't caught on to yet.

Peace, Love and Aqua Net,

St00bert

I'm Baaaack: Part Deux

Yes, it has been approximately three years since your last shot of Common Freaking Sense. I don't know how Clear the Politics on RealClearPolitics can be, as they have an Op-Ed from Howard Dean posted... AAAAAAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!! (Howie's '04 Battle-Scream). Orson also urges voters to deny any candidate who has been spouting the "Timetable for Withdrawl" position.

Why is it, that during the most important mid-terms in decades, I can't stop hearing about Madonna's adoption, Michael J. Fox's Parkinson's, or whatever trash Hollywood is spewing? I imagine alot of it is Hollywierd helping their Donkey-People friends distract us from the real issues, as most Donkey-People don't want us to know that they have no comprehension of the real issues. They're just happy thinking they have us all snowed with their rigged poll numbers... Hey, I know where to call to get the answers I want, too... That's why the major polling peeps have all been sucked up by the major media outlets, so they can tell you what they want you to hear. Pollsters know exactly where every prefix they're calling is located, why do you think I never get calls from them? Because I live in a republican-heavy, fairly-well-to-do town with one prefix, one easily eliminate-able prefix. Throw in that many polls are now done online, where the SULBD's live, and you get the perfect Lib-Pollster storm. Also, most people of a more conservative nature, tend not to even bother with polls. Tomorrow will be much less dramatic than the Donkey-People think... Lots of "Status-Quo", if you will. Oh, a good number of people are still zombified enough to let the mainstream sway them, but I think the career politicians, on both sides, have most of us pissed-off enough to start voting our minds, and not their version of what we should think. At least I hope.

My only solice in that the Packers lost again (nice play-calling McCarthy), is that the un-godly overrated Bears did too. Hmmm...I think the Packers were able to beat the Dolphins....
Let's see, coach Mc, the slant pass was picked off once for a TD, batted down twice, and should have been picked at least one more time...Now, first and goal at the one, Ahman Green, and Noah Herron just ripped off three runs for about 50 yards to get you here... Do you.....?

A. Run the ball at least once... or
B. Throw the covered-like-a-blanket slant pass....AGAIN... Into double coverage.

TED THOMPSON...LISTEN TO MY WORDS.... YOU DON'T HIRE THE WORST OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR IN THE LEAGUE TO BE YOUR HEAD-COACH....PERIOD. By the way, is Al "Toast" Harris still looking for more money?

Remember to get out there, and vote tomorrow. If you don't vote, you can't bitch.

Peace, Love, and the 46 Lead

SAB

Is this the Donkey-Peoples' Plan to Win? -or- Are Ya' Kiddin' Me Right Now? And your lame-ass cover-up today? "It was a botched joke, aimed at the White House..."
RIIIIIGHT!!!!!!!!!!! So, today you want to insult all of America's intelligence, not just our fighting men and women... Did you think the rest of us felt left out? Do you really think anyone buys that BULLSHIT excuse?

Today, I was going to post a little something about how thrilled I'm not with the ultra-right, too many absolutes, pushing religion, and faith-based politics, blah-blah... But now I'm really PISSED OFF! I can't believe anyone could see this crap, and still want to vote Dem. Wanna see some more pseudo-intelligent campaign fodder? This is some stuff I found on FoxNews.com...

"I'm sick and tired of these despicable Republican attacks that always seem to come from those who never can be found to serve in war, but love to attack those who did," Kerry said. "I'm not going to be lectured by a stuffed suit White House mouthpiece standing behind a podium, or doughy Rush Limbaugh, who no doubt today will take a break from belittling Michael J. Fox's Parkinson's disease to start lying about me just as they have lied about Iraq. It disgusts me."
-That's our boy Johnny K

And this from FoxNews.com via the New York Post, concerning Charlie Rangel's hopes for the top seat on the House Ways and Means Committee (should the Dems take over). His response to VP Cheney's assertion that he will let Bush's tax cuts expire if he gets the W&MC seat;

"He's such a real son of a bitch, he just enjoys a confrontation," Rangel said, describing himself to the newspaper as "warm and personable." He told the newspaper Cheney may need to go to "rehab" for "whatever personality deficit he may have suffered."

"When you have those sorts of problems, you're supposed to seek help," Rangel said. "He acknowledged that he has problems with communication."

Is this the plan, Donkey-People? Pummel us with not-very-clever insults, until we vote for you?
So far, I'm not feelin' it... Maybe you should insult me some more... Maybe you could insult my Mom, that might work. And when you're done insulting me, try to convince me that you weren't really insulting me, you were trying to poke fun at my Sainted Grandmothers, and screwed it up. That might get me to vote for ya'.

If anyone was looking for a reason not to vote for the Dems, John Kerry just gave them a few to choose from; insulting us, then trying to fix that by insulting our intelligence, and when he realized how stupid that all sounded, he did what all good Lefties do, he got down-right petty..."Despicable Republicans"?... What are you now, Daffy Duck? Kerry's not even running for anything, and shouldn't even have his mouth open, and I guarantee there's a lot of Dems who want him to shut it.

Brilliant strategy, Donkey-People. If this is the plan, I'd like to thank you in advance for keeping things the way they should be, and for proving that you are just like your kooky friends in Hollywood; petty, uninformed, and just plain-old out of touch with Joe-Average.

Peace, Love, and Botched Jokes

SAB

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://commonfreakingsense.blogspot.com/2006/10/is-this-donkey-peoples-plan-to-win-or.html' title='Is this the Donkey-Peoples' Plan to Win? -or- Are Ya' Kiddin' Me Right Now? It's a funny little read about the first hundred days, if the dems take control on Nov. 7. Well, the Ultra-Super-Lefty-Bloggers-Of-Doom did not like that Netscape let something that poked fun at the Donkey-People through. Heaven forbid... Oh wait, can't say Heaven..... Promised-After-Life-of-Your-Choice forbid we have a little chuckle in these times of impending "dissaster" as one of the USLBD's so quaintly put it.

The ultra-rich, ultra-left has these poor bastards so convinced that everything is a conspiracy, one guy advises that you vote absentee so the republican hackers can't fiddle with your electronic ballot. PLEASE, stop playing W.O.W. 23 1/2 hours a day, and come back to the real world for a while. Good God...Oops, can't say God... Good Diety-of-Your-Choice, these pasty goth freaks have taken Nancy's word for it, these are the End-of-Days...unless of course you all vote democrat Nov. 7, then everything will be OK. That will fix everything... except your employment situation, 'cause we're gonna give your job to an illegal alien... and raise your taxes... and cut your benefits, so we can give them to the illegal who took your job... and your social security.

I have said it before, and I'll say it again... The only people who are liberals are those who can afford to be, and those who can't afford to be anything else. Do you honestly believe that Nancy, Ted, Hillaryous, and the Money-Men behind them really give a crap about anything but their own advancement? Don't even get me started on Barak "Poster-Boy" Obama, I live in Illinois, he spends a great deal of time taking care of his party, meanwhile Illinois politics, infrastructure, and schools go further, and further into the toilet. He, Rod Blago, and Daley are making a killing off the demise of this state. And meanwhile, the folks that voted these yahoos in, are getting what out of them? But they'll keep voting for 'em, because Katie, Matt, Tom, Susan, and CNN told them to... And their kids will, because the ultra-informed Kanye West told them George Bush don't like black folks.

If any of you USLBD's, or illegals, or welfare cases, or pseudo-intelligents are reading this...Please, open your eyes, the Lefties are using you. They promise you things; more welfare, amnesty, citizenship, justification of your kooky conspiracy theories... And all you have to do is let them pretty much run your life for you. They want you on welfare, they want you here ILLEGALLY, they want you thinking everything is a plot against you, so that you NEED them, so they can keep you under their collective thumb, and not let you, or your children ever NOT need them. They try to make you believe the Republicans are the feared "Big Brother", when the very tenet of the Democratic Party is more government control, because you're too stupid to live your life by, and for yourself.

If you get a chance, go to Netscape's homepage, and check out some of those "News" stories, it's a hoot.

Peace, Love, and "The Magic Bullet"

SAB

I'm Baaack!!

OK, so I've been gone for quite a while. Baseball playoffs run right into football season, and you lose me for a few months...That's just how it goes in my world...My wife deals with it, so can you. Just so you know, Baseball team lost in the second round, football team was co-conference champs, and lost our "Bowl-Day" game 34-28 in triple O.T. A feeling not un-like taking repeated blows to the groin with a wooden mallet.

So, that's been my last four months...  My favorite 4 months of the year,  I get to coach the greatest game of all time,  which takes up most of my time, so I don't really notice the news, and all of it's mostly very biased mainstream outlets.  When I started watching again, the first thing I see is O'Reilly on OPRAH.... Fantastic TV, Oprah tried to load the audience with lefties, so she could have a big "Bill-Bashing-Party", only Bill is too smart for that, and Opie ended up kissing-butt, to save face. Once again those pesky facts get in the way of lefty over-emotionalization, and scare tactics.  It's funny, how many people wanted to get on O'Reilly about the "Fair and Balanced" tag line of Fox News.  They're all so used to the liberal bias of mainstream media, they think the truth is right-wing propaganda. I have proof. A friend of mine has a brother who has served a couple tours in Iraq, including the siege on Fallujah. My friend gets a rare call from his brother over-there, and in a nut-shell, here's how it goes;

Friend: Hear you guys had a busy day...
Brother: Huh?
Friend: CNN said it's f*&^ing chaos in Fallujah today.
Brother: What are you talking about? I haven't fired a shot in two days, we're just sweeping.
Friend: They were showing a big gunfight and even mentioned your unit.
Brother: Last week, maybe. When these guys get bored, they make-up "Emmy-Clips", they start feeing pressure to send some horrific news, or graphic footage back to keep in the spotlight.

My friend's brother also said we're alot more popular over in Iraq than we are led to believe.

Ya wanna know who my new best-friend is? Glen Beck. I can't figure out how he gets to be on the Clinton News Network. I guess FOX is getting under Ted Turner's skin a bit, hmmm?... I like "The Beck" because he'll go after anyone, he doesn't mince words, and he's realistic. It doesn't hurt that he also has Erica Hill on every show. CNN is good at one thing, hiring the best looking anchors around.

At some point during my absence, Netscape went to an "Ultra-Leftie-Conspiracy-Theorist-Bloggers-of-Doom" format for their homepage news. I have never seen so much unsubstantiated, un-proveable B.S. in my whole life. Bloggers as news correspondents? Mother-of-God, What are you people thinking? Why don't we just give the people(read: nut-bags) sitting outside Area 51 cameras, and microphones? Actually, I think that's how they discovered James Carville.

I hope Joe Lieberman wins his seat back.... My what a monkey-wrench that would throw in the spokes of the left-wing unicycle. We need more people like Joe representing us. I know he's a Liberal, but at least he's not afraid to cross party-lines when he knows it's right. Remember, next week, vote for the candidate, not the party. Vote your conscience. Just get out there and VOTE.

Now that I've got some time again, we'll discuss lots of stuff over the fall and winter... The Foley scandal, which sounds alot like a Dem from 15 or so years ago, who served three more terms after he got caught doing the same thing... Nancy Pelozi, don't even get me started... and I think I'd like to re-visit my Hollywood-D.C. Dems connection, 'cause I haven't heard much from the "Sarandonites" during these very critical mid-term elections.... I think Mr. Cruise might have something to do with that.

Peace, Love, and Jr. Tackle Football

SAB

Is It Just Me?

OK, so I'm going through the news, and I see a bit of good news, Texas Cops Find Abducted 5 Day Old. I saw the report on Nancy Grace, and Greta Van Sustern's shows, last night. By the way, Nancy rules, even though she's on the Clinton News Network. Of course, like all parents, my reaction is fear for the child (especially since she was sick), and deep gutorral pain for the mother. How do freaks have such a special talent for gaining peoples' trust? The baby is fine, but the story doesn't say if the woman who took her was caught. So, happy news there. Makes our 8-1 loss at the ol' ball diamond tonight seem pretty trivial, which is exactly what I needed. Is it just me, or does it seem like you always get something nice like that right when you need it?

Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the news... Kennedy Released From Rehab. So Ted's boy is OK to return to his place in society. If you read the story, you'll note that Patty-Boy has been up to this kind of stuff since high school. Oh, like father..like son, car accidents, special treatment from the fuzz, the only thing missing, is the mistress drowning in a pond. I wish my name was Kennedy, I quite often have the urge to intoxicate myself to the point of black-out, then take a late-night drive... If my name was Kennedy, I could get away with that, and involuntary man-slaughter.... Man, rich, AND above the law, must be rough. The story almost makes Patty out to be a hero, championing the mental health cause. If that had been 'W' behind the wheel, it would still be the top story every day, and everyone from Al Gore to Al Franken would be calling for impeachment, hearings, sub-commitees, an immediate stop to the sales of sleep-aids, and alcohol, and more warning labels we don't need. But, since it was a Dem, A KENNEDY, it was all society's fault, and relegated to the farthest reaches of Netscape news (by CNN, no less). Is it just me, or do we have a bit of a double-standard problem in this country?

Do we like bad news? Only 2 out of the 14 stories I scanned tonight were of a positive nature. There were a few ambiguous headlines, but mostly this murder, that terror plot, another abduction, families killing each other... When I read, or watch this junk everyday, I start getting depressed, and I want to just ignore it. But that would be denial, and I'm not into that. Instead, I'll just bitch about it in here, and keep looking for that good-news story buried in the crap. maybe tomorrow's good news will be a big win for the ball team. Is it just me, or does a good little-league game beat the heck out of the 6 o'clock news anyday?

Peace, Love, and Ambien-walking

SAB

Forgive Me an Evil Chuckle

HA HA HA HA HA! MUA HA HA HA HA!

Michael Moore is being sued by an Iraq war vet for, shall we say, "Creative editing"?... In "Farenheit 9/11".

I saw a quick blurb last night, that the Clinton News Network was scrolling across my screen. I found the whole story at Netscape.

Wow, Michael Moore...Twisting words... Rearranging timelines... putting words in peoples' mouths? Un-heard-of. I had heard of some instances where MM, in true liberal fashion, asked people a bunch of questions for the movie, then edited so that different answers went with different questions, so those answers would sound more along his conspiracy theory lines. In Sgt. Damon's case, he showed footage of an interview Damon did with NBC, right after a clip of Rep. Jim McDermott (D-WASH.) saying the Bush admin was leaving alot of vets behind. Read the story, you'll get the point. So, I watched that wretched P.O.S. twice, at the suggestion of a co-worker. Watch it once before you know some of the edit points, and once after. It's very enlightening as to how much work MM put into making his theories seem plausible. There are (or were) a bunch of sites that got into this, I did it 2 years ago, so I don't really know if you can still find them... or why you'd want to.

MM's another one of those Hollywood types who apparently have the ears of the top intelligence people in Washington. I'm sure he's already touched base with the new CIA director.
HEY! Didn't MM do that Roger& Me thing too? Maybe he could help me with my hypothetical auto assembly plant thing.... Oh no, wait... He's a Lib... He likes quotas, and screwing rich white guys... Wait, HE'S A RICH WHITE GUY!!! ... eeeewwww. A little hypocricy to go with your deceit, Mr. Moore?

If MM wants to expose a big conspiracy, I've got two words for him...

White Water

Oh, here's two more...

Vince Foster

And how 'bout...

Monica's dress

Or...

Cuban Cigar

Ya' know, I'd really like to see that one, he could call it "White Water, Blue Dress", or
"Don't Talk With Your Mouth Full", or "Man, That Smells: A Cigar's Life in the Oral Office"...
no, that's not a typo.

Peace, Love, and $85 million worth of justice for a Veteran

SAB

UPDATE

As I find out more and more about this hypothetical hiring process, it's becoming clear-as-mud to me.

Through further hypothetic discussion and research, I've found the women to men ratio will be about 2:1. That is not all, however. The hypothetical criterion also hinges on two other things;

1. Are you of woefully average intelligence?

2. Does your score on the psycho-babble portion of the test indicate that you are a mindless follower, willing to tattle on your co-workers for the smallest mis-deed?

If you answered yes to both of these questions, (and you're a Hispanic, single mother) CONGRATULATIONS!!! You're in! Hypothetically.

Here's my theory; What we hypothetically have here is three groups trying to play both sides against the middle, not realizing that there's a third side involved.

1. Management convinces union reps that this diversification looks good for P.R., AND certainly none of these new employees could threaten their cushy ass-spreadin' jobs... But neglects to mention the lack of knowledge, and therefore production, morale, etc., will also weaken the union. Management does not know the labor side of the union even exists.

2. Union reps, convinced they have kissed-up most righteously, go to labor and say, "Hey, we know there's always been a referral program, and we've gotten alot of good employees that way, but this whole diversity thing we're getting shoved up our ass by Washington...We don't like it any more than you do... And all you people who've been working here part time for years.. Let us talk to management, we'll get this straightened out...blah..blah, you should be getting your full-time offers any day now..blah...blah." Union reps are convinced that they are Management.

3. Washington, whose campaign fund is fattened by both sides, has Management convinced that a weaker union will mean cheaper labor down the line, and the whole P.R. thing don't hurt either. Meanwhile, keeping Union reps happy with "Diversity will strengthen.." and "I'm fightin' for you everyday..." talk, while all those "Richest 1%" tax cuts just keep getting passed. Washington is fighting for whomever is fattening his coffers the most. Labor who?

What does all this mean? Well, for starters, I feel sorry for the poor people who have to train the in-coming crop of former salesmen, and office workers. Second, I wouldn't buy a certain car named after bullet measurements, as I am sure there will be recalls-a-plenty. And finally, another P.O.S. politician keeps getting richer, while the people who got him there are slowly putting themselves out of a job.

Wow, maybe I should just count my blessings. Y'all have fun with that..'K?

Peace, Love, and my old '73 Caprice Classic (CHEVY)

SAB

Haven't We Dicussed This Already?

OK, so in my previous post; "Me as it relates to you", I touched on hiring practices. Basically, my point was, hire the best person for the job...(insert sarcastic chortle).

Let's say hypothetically, I apply for a job at hypothetically the largest automotive assembly plant in Belvedere, Illinois. Let's say hypothetically, I get passed the application process, and go for some skills testing. Let's just assume these hypothetic tests are cheesecake, and I ace them. Do I hypothetically get to move on to the next phase? NO. Why? Let's take a hypothetical look.

I've hypothetically talked to several people who may or may not have initiated this employment process themselves. 5 hypothetical men, 4 hypothetical women, one being my wife. All of the men have been stopped like a bad check after the application, or tests hypothetically speaking, and the women are being hypothetically pushed through like Play-Doh through the spaghetti factory.

All 5 hypo-men have lots of manufacturing/assembly experience, the hypo-women have lots of office experience. I know someone who hypo-works at this hypo-plant, who hypo-told me one hypo-man has been hired...He was a car salesman for 15 years.

Now, I know unions have quotas, Washington pressures big corp's to "diversify", and that I'm a bit miffed that I'm losing out on some of that big-fat hypothetical UAW money...But doesn't this sound a bit like reverse-discrimination? I have the qualifications, the experience, oh, and a penis.... Sorry... middle-class men need not apply...You are the most hated demographic, after all, and we can't hire you because you're the backbone of this nation's economy. We have to hire based on the latest feel-good data, keep Hillary and Barak happy for when they take over... Really...Susan Sarandon said it's gonna happen...So it must be true.

Before you ladies get your torches lit, this is not about chauvanism, or anything like that. Best person for the job, that's all. If these women were more qualified than I, or one guy who has 20 years of auto assembly experience and didn't make it passed the application, then fine, hire away. But doesn't common freaking sense tell us a guy with 20 years experience is the better hire than ANYBODY with none? This also isn't about women getiing ahead of men, or me specifically. In fact, I have always responded better to female authority figures than male, I don't know why, must be something Freudian, I just do. I was just as angry years ago, when my Mom was passed over for a promotion, because if this other guy didn't get the job, he was gonna sue for discrimination because he was a gay Hispanic. Mind you he had a tenth the experience, and about a millionth the work ethic Mom has, but he got the job. Mom's retired now, and probably thinks about that old situation way less than I do, but I saw the anger, and disappointment on her face. I over heard some of her calls to various union heads, politicians, and what-not... and it's a big part of why I am more of a conservative, why I feel we need to get back to CFS.

I cannot stand this "Gimme what I want 'cause I'm a left handed quadropolegic lesbian" society we have created. Every demographic group (except mine) has a group of lawyers just waitng to sue the pants off anyone who doesn't hand them a life on a silver platter. So, you get what I'm experiencing right now, I can't get a nice job with good pay and benefits, because some freaking liberal decided my demographic is too well represented in this hypothetical factory, or a certain liberal puke senator from around here wants to make sure he's got his demographic hypotheticals covered. Common Freaking Sense, people... we need a whole lot more of it, from northern Illinois, to Washington D.C. .... Hypothetically speaking.

Peace, Love, and Mom's Lugen Fits-of-rage

SAB

Yeah, so I'm busy....Jeez.

OK, so it's been a month since last I blogged. Baseball season has started, real baseball, Pony League, not the steroid-induced, spoiled little rich-bitch baseball. I help coach my son's team. So that's taking up alot of time, I also don't think you understand how much more my wife likes me when I'm doing stuff around the house...especially this time of year. I also just got done with a rather nasty bout of "Everything Out of My Digestive Tract...I Don't Care Which Way You Go".
Yes..Two fun filled days of Technicolor Yawns, and The Trotskies....MMMMMMMM. :) Ever "released" a quart of orange Gatorade all at once? Tastes EXACTLY the same as it did goin' in. Why does the doctor tell me to keep drinking fluids, when they're just gonna come back out? What am I, a radiator?

Anyway, my wife and I were watching Dateline's "To Catch A Predator" XXXVI, or whatever number they're on now, and it got me to thinking. WHAT THE F@#K IS WRONG WITH THESE IDIOTS?!?!?!?!? OK, so maybe you missed the first one or two of these shows, but there's been like ninety of 'em now! I would think by now, Chris Hansen would have single handedly OBLITERATED cyber-sex predators from the face of the Earth. BUT NOOOOOO.
These morons just keep coming out of the woodwork, like it's their freaking job. I understand that some of these guys are "not well", but come on.... Does being a few shingles short make you that dumb? Just for a sec, let's set aside the obvious reasons not to be a sexual predator. Let's just look at one... NBC. You don't need cable or DirecTV to get NBC, so really, no excuse not to have seen one of these reports. Many people (obviously, other than you freaks) watch NBC, including, possibly... Your boss, your Mom, Your P.O., or the detective that's been after you for a year and a half for the rape of your under 13 niece. And they have caught some real "pillars", Teachers, Homeland Security guy, a Rabbi (are ya' kiddin' me?), and on the next one, some DUMBASS brings his kid along! I WANT TO HURT THAT F@#KER ON SO MANY LEVELS.
Pardon my liberal (yech) use of the blotted out F word tonight, but really, you're with me on this, right?

Zac Moussaoui gets life in the pokey, and says "America, You lost." OK, I'm not the one who's going to Sing-Sing to get a little Ding-Ding from Bubba. I'd have to say that's a win for me. By the way Zac, those cell-mates of your's may be low-down, dirty, vicious criminals... But they're AMERICAN, low-down, dirty, vicious criminals...HAVE A BLAST BUDDY!!!!

Gas prices keep going up, my wallet keeps getting lighter, and somewhere, an Oil-Magnate rests his head on a pillow stuffed with Ben Franklins. I wish it were as easy as blaming it all on the oil companies, or W, or OPEC, but it's not. It's our own fault, mostly. We refuse mass-transit, car-pooling, and anything else that would cut-down on gas usage. Don't get me wrong, the old "Suppression of Technology" thing isn't helping either. The feeble attempts at hybrids, and alternative fuel vehicles so-far are laughable at best. I'm no tree-hugger, ya' know, and I'm just as guilty as the next guy, of using too much gas, but guess what...That pillow's gonna be stuffed just as tight tomorrow night, if we don't cut down on consumption. By the way, again, you know that e-mail that runs around, about how we should boycott Exxon/Mobil, then they have to drop their prices, then everyone else drops their prices, etc.? Yeah, won't work. Look, if we DID get a mass boycott of E/M, all they'd have to do is drop their price maybe a nickle lower than Citgo, BP, et al, and we'd all go rushing back over there. Next day, price is back up, you're still buying from E/M, and the pillow is about to burst. The only thing we can do, that will REALLY work, is drop our consumption, period.

Well, that's about all for now. Sorry it's been so long, I have to admit, I've been playing too much Counter-Strike. Man, it's like a drug... " I can stop playing any time I want.....Really" Yeah, right. Do they have CS anonymous?
"Hi, my name's Stu"
"Hi Stu"
"I discovered recently...that I'm...a.... a"
"It's OK, Stu, you can say it, we're all friends here"
"I'M A COUNTER-STRIKE-A-HOLIC...weep, weep...sob, sob...whimper"

Never guess what I'm gonna do now.....

Peace, Love, and "BOOM...HEADSHOT!"

SAB

Random Stuff That Irks Me

First and foremost; I wish Brett Favre would make up his freakin' mind already. And while I'm on the subject of the Packers... WHAT THE HELL WAS TED THOMPSON THINKING???? "Oh, gee look, for some reason, nobody has snatched up that Mike McCarthy fella..." Well, Ted, do you suppose it had anything to do with the fact that he was the coordinator of the WORST offense in the NFL? Teddy, you'd better have the best damn draft in the history of the NFL, and MM better be the biggest sleeper-"holy crap where did he come from?"- hire of all time. 'Cause I think Packer Nation has a little more say with Bob Harlan than you think we do.

Second, would all of you ugly women quit your whining about Deb LaFave getting off the hook? There are many issues at play here; One, a woman who looks like that is not going to get a break BECAUSE she looks like that. If anything, she's going to be made an example of in our leftie judicial system, so everyone can see that beauty is only skin deep, blah, blah, blah. Two, if I'm a 14, 15 year old kid who gets jumped by a teacher who looks like that, I am not emotionally scarred..... I AM the King of the Freaking School! I am the Egg-Man, I am the Walrus, coo-coo-catchoo. Three, the kid is already having some severe distress, just with all the press, and unwanted attention this has drawn. His Mom said she'd like to see LaFave do time, but not at the expense of her son's stability. Four, LaFave is already under 3 years of house arrest, and I think 7 years probation. Plus, she obviously lost her teaching credentials, and any opportunity to teach anywhere in the civilized world. Do I think what she did was OK? Hell no. Do I think the kid is going to be damaged goods because he got to hit that? Hell no, I'd be quite willing to bet the one thing he WASN'T thinking was "This woman needs to go to jail!". All the freaking-out by the press, the public, and the courts, all the pressure of trying to lead a "normal" life with all of this swirling around him, and trying to gain his parents' trust again..That's what will be his trial. Ms. LaFave says this happened because she's bipolar. While I find that a petty lame excuse, I have seen bipolar people do some crazy shit.

Do we need anymore reality shows? How many more ways can we put a group of strangers together to see if they'll "hook-up", back-stab, cheat, swindle, spend all of Hef's money, take the suit case or the money.... STOP ALREADY. Some of them are OK, Idol's good, once you get down to a manageable number of people (Chris the Rocker-Dude rules). We used to watch "The Real World", (please re-name that show to "Beautiful People ages 18-24, living in impossibly perfect digs, given gravy jobs, and oodles of re-casts on The Gauntlet) but now I think they're really trying to get some one pregnant, killed, arrested, or married. Here lets put two gay guys, and a bunch of horny hetero's in a confined space, with (apparently) an unlimited booze budget... What could possibly go wrong? Can we please start paying some actors, and writers again? I miss Cheers.

System of a Down, and Green Day, please stop wtitng protest song until you do some actual research. "Why do they always send the poor?"? Gosh, I dunno, maybe because we have an ALL VOLUNTEER MILITARY. Most rich folks don't feel the need to sign-up for the GI bill. And stop going on, and on about the oil. We haven't taken a freaking drop, and when we do, we'll pay for it, to help Iraq's economy get on track. None of that could have happened under Saddam,(unless you were France, Germany or Russia breaking UN sanctioned trade embargos) or can happen, until the insurgency is quelled. You see, the faster we get Iraq on it's feet, the faster we can get out. However, the real "Campaign of Misinformation", being waged by the mainstream media, and people like you, would have us believe that all would be OK if we just pulled out en mass. Maybe, if the core of the insurgency was Iraqi, but they're not. Yes some extremist Sunni are part of the problem, but for the most part these are outside influences inciting some Iraqis, but certainly not the majority. If we just up-and-left, the Iraqi people would have it worse for longer, than if we hold on 'til the job is done, or Iraq's military can handle it themselves. Try talking to some of the troops coming home, who've had contact with average Joe Iraqi, they don't hate us like you want us to believe they do.

Finally, if you're one of those people who find it difficult, for whatever reason, to even approach the speed limit while driving...GET THE HELL OUT OF MY WAY... Listen, I view the speed limit as more of a suggestion, a guideline if you will. I suppose you do, too, only your view wastes alot of MY TIME. I already have to drive too much, I don't need you prolonging the task. I think our highways and biways would be a much happier place if we all got one summary execution per day. Some guy almost kills you 'cause he just cut you off, you get to run him into a bridge embunkment. Think about it, are you gonna tailgate that old lady if you're not sure she's used up her execution for the day? If you're not sure her trunk won't pop open to reveal a 20mm gatling gun? No, you're gonna smile and wave to Granny, and hope she's not on her way back from a losing night at the bingo hall.

Peace, Love, and "What the hell are you doing in the left lane?"

SAB

Me...As it relates to You

I thought that I should give both my fans an overview of me, and some of my beliefs. Things to let you know where I'm coming from, before we even get there.

Politically--- I consider myself more conservative, but not necessarily a Republican. Honestly, I pretty much hate all politicians. Even those who start with the best of intentions get turned into the partisan A-Holes we all hate. "Not that I condone facism, or any -ism, for that matter"- Ferris Beuller...But the two party system only works if the parties are doing what their constituents elected them to do. Let's face it, once they get to Washington, they're set for life, so they stop giving a shit about us, period. My big problem with the Dems- Hypocricy. How in the hell am I supposed to believe that John Kerry, and Ted Kennedy give half-a-damn about "The Little Guy'?
My big problem with the Republicans- Legislated Morals. Listen, guys, I didn't elect you so you could go ape-shit because Justin & Janet had a "wardrobe malfunction". Can you say FCC overkill, boys and girls? I elected you because I want CHRISTMAS back, because I don't want a warning label on EVERYTHING, and because sometimes it's OK to give a FIRST PLACE trophy, not a "participation medal".
By the (old school) way, all you screamin' lefties... I got my butt beat as a kid when I was bad, 'cuz I deserved it... And guess what? I'm not an axe-murderer, I don't need therapy, and I love my Mom and Dad to death. Unbelieveable, huh? Time-outs ain't workin' people.

Abortion--- I don't like the idea, fundamentally. However, even more fundamentally, I hate the idea of going back to un-sanitary back-room abortion clinics, or worse yet, girls bleeding to death in a closet because they tried to do it themselves. I know alot of people use abortion the wrong way, and frankly those people make me sick, but the alternative was, and would be, much worse. Oh, and all you ultra-Christian clinic-bombers... Al Qaeda has some openings you may be interested in.

Environment--- While I acknowledge the phenomenon of global-warming, and it's dangers to us and future generations... Go find me a scientist who can PROVE that it isn't just a cycle the earth goes through. They can't. Know why? Mama Earth has been around for about 4 billion years, we've been here about 10,000. The technology to detect things like the ozone hole has been around for about 30, and climatology, and meteorology can't find their asses with both hands. If you listen carefully, you can hear them contradict themselves. The last Ice Age happened without our help, and yet that's what the big outcome of global-warming is supposed to be. Are we speeding it along? Probably. Are we producing junk that would make our ancestors puke? Yup. But guess what again... So would a large-scale volcanic eruption, or a medium to large asteroid/meteor hitting us... Mama will wipe us out before we can do it ourselves. That's not to say I'm a polluter, or I wouldn't love to see our cars run on hydrogen or whatever, or I'm a nature-hater. Quite the contrary, I love hunting, and fishing, and camping, and I can't do those things if nature is gone...I love Mama...I leave her better than how I found her whenever possible. I think the more real, and present danger is what happens when we blow our fossil-fuel wad, and our oil-based world economy takes a big ol' dump.

Religion--- The only thing I'll say that I didn't say in my religion rant (You, Me, and Religion), is that I think all churches need to stay out of the political arena. Respect for life is not something I need shoved down my throat every Sunday. I've been in some very hairy situations, I have kids, I'm pretty sure my Respect-o-Meter is pegged. And as far as putting your churches two-cents in on whatever war is going on? I seem to recall some things called, "The Crusades", "Jihad", and God himself swallowing up half the Egyptian army in the Red Sea. Show me the teachings of whatever Faith I follow, don't try to govern me. It's part of why this country exists.

Society--- We have allowed the ACLU, and Soccer-Moms to turn us into a mediocre people . We can't have actual competition anymore. We can't have winners and losers anymore, just participants. We can only hire the best people for the job if a certain demographic-proile quota is met. We have also polarized ourselves in keeping with Washington's example. We piss and moan alot, but those incumbents always seem to keep their seats. Part of the reason I started this blog was to fire someone up, if only myself. I live in a town where we HAD an opportunity to build an ethanol plant. It would've brought in over $ 1 million a year to our schools just through property taxes. But a bunch of mis-informed loud-mouths (whose kids mostly go to other schools) have pretty much blown it. See, these geniuses built their fancy sub-division on a Super-Fund site, between a freeway, and a huge tank farm that supplies all the area gas stations... But God forbid they build that ethanol plant. By the way, if any of you Redenius idiots reads this, all ethanol plants do is COOK CORN you moron. you cannot produce toluene by cooking corn. Toluene is a petroleum-based solvent, cooking corn is not petroleum-based anything. Go take a 10th grade chemistry class. Most of the people IN town, wanted this plant, and those tax dollars. But once again, the loudest voices are the only ones heard. Just like the rest of society, we all think all Iraqis hate us because that's what the loudest voices say. Wrong. If the loudest voices were always right, John Kerry would be President. It is time for the silent majority to stop being so silent.
Give me back my CHRISTMAS
I'm sorry if my kid is better than your's at something
Hire the white guy if he's the most qualified
Hire the black guy if he's the most qualified
Hire the Asian woman if she's the most qualified
Competition is NOT a bad thing, winning builds self-esteem, losing builds character, and hopefully a strong desire to open a can of whoop-ass next time.

Peace, Love, and Hooter's Girls (I hope that offends someone)

SAB

Does Hollywood Have Top Secret Clearance?

OK, so I'm surfing the web earlier this week, when I come across this story (NetScape.com) about Charlie Sheen.
Now, this isn't a story about Charlie's career, or famous family, or (my favorite part), his collection of former HOTTIES (Ginger Lynn, AND Denise Richards in the same lifetime? I mean Come-on!). No, this was about Chuckie's (very timely) theory about how 'W' helped plan the 9/11 attacks. Yeah, Chas, first let's lose the bong. Your reaction time has a Half-Life. Second, what are you a structural engineer, now? Part of C-Dog's rant is about how the tower collapses looked "too controlled"... So, 'W' knew EXACTLY where to tell his hijacker friends to crash into the buildings?
And the hijackers' small aircraft pilot training was good enough to allow them to fly WIDEBODY PASSENGER JETS with that kind of precision? Umm..NO. Charles started going into his explanation of the theory, why our Prez would do such a thing, (oil, lucrative contracts for his friends, just to use the War Machine), but the whole thing just kinda' fell off...Like he saw something shiny.

That reminded me of another "Intelligence Specialist"; Sheryl Crow. Yep, she's hot, she can sing and play like the dickens, AND she apparently has her finger on the pulse of international espionage, and conspiracy. My wife and I were watching Sheryl on TV one night. I dig her music, I certainly like watching her, but things went south quickly. Sheryl once played a USO show for the troops during our totally un-necessary involvement in Kosovo. Ms. Crow insisted that she would never play for anybody but US troops again. Whatever. Apparently, war is OK when a Dem (Clinton) gets us involved in it. When 'W' does, it's a "campaign of misinformation".
The concert we were watching quickly turned into a political platform for the left.
OK, you wanna talk misinformation? All the lefties, especially Hollywood, and mainstream media can talk about is oil. Iraq has this HUGE oil supply, and we're there to steal it. OK, why are Iraqis paying almost nothing for gas, and I'm paying $2.50 a gallon? If we just stole this massive reserve, shouldn't prices be dropping? Second, other than oil, there are two differences between Saddam, and Milosevic; Milo never had any chemical weapons to use on his own people, and he was a Christian. So basically Sheryl was saying Kosovo was OK because we had a Dem in the white house, and we were going after a Christian. Both mass-murderers, both evil dictators, mass-graves, the whole bit. But Slovodon never attacked any of his neighbors, or sponsored terrorist attacks, or produced and used WMD on his own people. Did we go in to Iraq at the wrong time, on bad intel'? Yes, the resources would've been better used in the hunt for Osama. Besides, it was always just a matter of time before Saddam would do something stupid again, and give the world a reason. But he can't do that anymore, can he? HMMMMMM.....
By the way Hollywood insiders, a little scoop for ya'...Most of the insurgents ARE NOT Iraqis who want the US out, they are Syrians, Jordanians, Saudis, Egyptians, etc. who are inciting some Iraqis. "The News" just fails to tell you about the people who don't hate us in Iraq, and it's most of 'em. Did you ever notice how Slick Willy always got us involved in stuff right around the time another one of his scandals was blowing up?
- "Don't look at that intern going down on me, look at all these Tomohawk missiles I'm throwing at Saddam."
-"Don't look at that Whitewater investigation, look at our troops ousting this small-time semi-dictator"
-"Don't look at Vince Foster 'killing himself', look at this fiasco in Somalia."
-Three times Al Qaeda hit US interests during Bill's terms, WTC bomb, US barracks in Saudi Arabia, and the USS Cole. All three times, he said we would get those responsible, all three times certain African countries offer up Osama's head, 'cause he's hiding out there. All three times Bill says "NO". Who is conspiring with terrorists? I guess that depends on what your definition of IS is.

By the way again...I'm still waiting for Alec Baldwin to move out of the country, and for Tim and Susan to uncover that huge Oil Industry scandal, so I can have my solar-powered car, and organic chai tea, and for Sean to come and give me a million dollars; my kids think I'm an evil dictator. (Do you suppose Sean's million was in with all that cash they caught Saddam with?) Don't even get me started on Michael Moore, Bill Maher, Green Day, or System of a Down.

Please Hollywood, stick to entertaining, leave the spy stuff to the CIA.

Peace, Love, and real intelligence,

SAB

Me, You, and Religion

O.K., so I work with a couple of guys who are not only more conservative than me and my Brother CP put together, they are also very religious....And very opinionated (read: stubborn) about their own interpretations of what the Bible says. As you may know, CP and I were brought up Catholic (read: guilt-ridden), with all the "I'm not worthy", and "I'm a sinner just for being" you can handle.

The big argument a couple weeks ago was; Did Jesus die for our sins as in many people- one sin per person, or one person- many sins? Or maybe many people - many sins? Like alot of things in the Bible, you could read it both ways...And like many things in the Bible, I personally think, it is that way to MAKE you think.

The problem, in my small-scale two-guys-at-work case, and I believe, in the world, is that alot of us are so caught-up in our own up-bringing, our own opinions, our views of what is right, that we fail to see the Common Freaking Sense right in front of our faces.

Now, mind you, this is my view of CFS... I don't think it really matters which, and how many sins Jesus died for, I don't think it matters if you're a Christian, a Jew, a Muslim, a Bhuddist, or whatever. I don't think it matters how you interpret your Bible, or holy word of choice (as long as you don't pervert a peaceful religion, that goes for you Ultra-Christians too, not just Muslims)
or how you choose to worship (once again, within limits). I think if you try to do the right thing, try to be the best person you can, and follow the Golden Rule (every religion has a version, but they all say the same thing), your God, your savior, your prophet, will accept you into your Heaven.

Being enthused, or adament about your reigion is fantastic, until you start trying to push it on other people as the only one that's right. My family and I choose to remain with the Catholic Church, it's the church I was raised in, baptized in, was an Altar-boy for. But, I also understand that my church is partially based on what Emperor Constantine thought should be the story of Christ. Thousands of years of religions fighting each other, crossing-over one another, and just getting lost in translation will create enough debate without our ego's help. So I don't push my belief system on anyone. Think of it this way, 95% of the world believes in a Higher Power, and 95% of the teachings in all the different disciplines are damn-near word-for-word, so why can't we all see eye to eye?

probably the same reason that we can't have CHRISTMAS anymore, in a country where 95% of us are Christian.

Don't be hatin'

SAB

Illinois Governor's Race

Well folks, it's Judy Barr-Topinka going up against Blago here in the flatlands. Hmm...A very liberal Republican at best this Judy, not that I'm a huge fan of the ultra-right, but I think Judy is a Repub only because the incumbent is a Dem. You wanna know why I consider myself more of a conservative? Because at least you KNOW up-front the Republicans are in it for themselves and their friends; The Dems gotta lie and say they're all about the little guy, the minorities, the homeless, homosexuals, and whoever is the "Cause-Group-of-the-Day".
