Random Stuff That Irks Me

First and foremost; I wish Brett Favre would make up his freakin' mind already. And while I'm on the subject of the Packers... WHAT THE HELL WAS TED THOMPSON THINKING???? "Oh, gee look, for some reason, nobody has snatched up that Mike McCarthy fella..." Well, Ted, do you suppose it had anything to do with the fact that he was the coordinator of the WORST offense in the NFL? Teddy, you'd better have the best damn draft in the history of the NFL, and MM better be the biggest sleeper-"holy crap where did he come from?"- hire of all time. 'Cause I think Packer Nation has a little more say with Bob Harlan than you think we do.

Second, would all of you ugly women quit your whining about Deb LaFave getting off the hook? There are many issues at play here; One, a woman who looks like that is not going to get a break BECAUSE she looks like that. If anything, she's going to be made an example of in our leftie judicial system, so everyone can see that beauty is only skin deep, blah, blah, blah. Two, if I'm a 14, 15 year old kid who gets jumped by a teacher who looks like that, I am not emotionally scarred..... I AM the King of the Freaking School! I am the Egg-Man, I am the Walrus, coo-coo-catchoo. Three, the kid is already having some severe distress, just with all the press, and unwanted attention this has drawn. His Mom said she'd like to see LaFave do time, but not at the expense of her son's stability. Four, LaFave is already under 3 years of house arrest, and I think 7 years probation. Plus, she obviously lost her teaching credentials, and any opportunity to teach anywhere in the civilized world. Do I think what she did was OK? Hell no. Do I think the kid is going to be damaged goods because he got to hit that? Hell no, I'd be quite willing to bet the one thing he WASN'T thinking was "This woman needs to go to jail!". All the freaking-out by the press, the public, and the courts, all the pressure of trying to lead a "normal" life with all of this swirling around him, and trying to gain his parents' trust again..That's what will be his trial. Ms. LaFave says this happened because she's bipolar. While I find that a petty lame excuse, I have seen bipolar people do some crazy shit.

Do we need anymore reality shows? How many more ways can we put a group of strangers together to see if they'll "hook-up", back-stab, cheat, swindle, spend all of Hef's money, take the suit case or the money.... STOP ALREADY. Some of them are OK, Idol's good, once you get down to a manageable number of people (Chris the Rocker-Dude rules). We used to watch "The Real World", (please re-name that show to "Beautiful People ages 18-24, living in impossibly perfect digs, given gravy jobs, and oodles of re-casts on The Gauntlet) but now I think they're really trying to get some one pregnant, killed, arrested, or married. Here lets put two gay guys, and a bunch of horny hetero's in a confined space, with (apparently) an unlimited booze budget... What could possibly go wrong? Can we please start paying some actors, and writers again? I miss Cheers.

System of a Down, and Green Day, please stop wtitng protest song until you do some actual research. "Why do they always send the poor?"? Gosh, I dunno, maybe because we have an ALL VOLUNTEER MILITARY. Most rich folks don't feel the need to sign-up for the GI bill. And stop going on, and on about the oil. We haven't taken a freaking drop, and when we do, we'll pay for it, to help Iraq's economy get on track. None of that could have happened under Saddam,(unless you were France, Germany or Russia breaking UN sanctioned trade embargos) or can happen, until the insurgency is quelled. You see, the faster we get Iraq on it's feet, the faster we can get out. However, the real "Campaign of Misinformation", being waged by the mainstream media, and people like you, would have us believe that all would be OK if we just pulled out en mass. Maybe, if the core of the insurgency was Iraqi, but they're not. Yes some extremist Sunni are part of the problem, but for the most part these are outside influences inciting some Iraqis, but certainly not the majority. If we just up-and-left, the Iraqi people would have it worse for longer, than if we hold on 'til the job is done, or Iraq's military can handle it themselves. Try talking to some of the troops coming home, who've had contact with average Joe Iraqi, they don't hate us like you want us to believe they do.

Finally, if you're one of those people who find it difficult, for whatever reason, to even approach the speed limit while driving...GET THE HELL OUT OF MY WAY... Listen, I view the speed limit as more of a suggestion, a guideline if you will. I suppose you do, too, only your view wastes alot of MY TIME. I already have to drive too much, I don't need you prolonging the task. I think our highways and biways would be a much happier place if we all got one summary execution per day. Some guy almost kills you 'cause he just cut you off, you get to run him into a bridge embunkment. Think about it, are you gonna tailgate that old lady if you're not sure she's used up her execution for the day? If you're not sure her trunk won't pop open to reveal a 20mm gatling gun? No, you're gonna smile and wave to Granny, and hope she's not on her way back from a losing night at the bingo hall.

Peace, Love, and "What the hell are you doing in the left lane?"

Got to agree on the drivers, they kill me out here. Glad I wasn't traveling from DC this afternoon, with their 48 mile back up on the freeway heading south.

As for the Teacher, yeah, that would be bragging rights for LOTS of years.

The only scars that kid has in from her nails on his back.

That said, it's still rape, based on the law and age. And If I (or you) did a 14 year old girl we'd be in jail faster than you can say jailbait.

The random thing that irks me is when my funny little brother doesn't blog regularly:)

Doesn't everyone wave at Granny???

I like your solution for road rage. (hee hee)
I also like your rant about our military staying in Iraq; you are so right.

I have a relative that is bipolar, but she never did stuff like that!!

Been sick of reality shows for three years. Or is it four?

Can't speak to the Packers issue; I'm a Cowboys fan!
